Bare root Wild Privet plants are only available to buy and plant from November - March, but can be pre-ordered at any time of the year outside of the bare root season.
Wild Privet's creamy-white flowers appear in Spring and are loved by the birds and butterflies. Though they are edible to birds etc., the leaves and flowers are harmful if eaten.
It's quite a hardy plant, being tolerant to all soil types- though it cannot be planted in very wet sites.
When your Wild Privet plant is delivered, make sure you plant the bare root as soon as you can. You should not leave it for any longer than a couple of days, or so, and do not let the roots dry out.
