Cornus alba Sibirica is well-known for its stunning, red-coloured stems that provide a burst of colour in the Autumn and Winter months.

Bare Root Vivid Red Stemmed Dogwood plants are only available to buy and plant during November - March, but can be pre-ordered at any time outside of the bare root season.

Vivid Red Stemmed Dogwood has creamy-white flowers in the Spring, following with white berries- both of which sit amongst lush, dark green, oval shaped leaves that redden in the Autumn, before eventually dropping off to reveal the stunning stems. The vivid stems will stand out from a mile away!

You can leave Cornus alba 'Sibirica' on its own as a standalone hedge, or you can place in a mixed hedge to add some extra levels of interest to your garden.

Please ensure you plant the bare root dogwood plant as soon as you can after it is delivered, as the roots are tender and cannot dry out.

Vivid Red Stemmed Dogwood is a hardy hedge which will thrive best in moist sites and loves to be placed in either sun or partial shade.

When your Vivid Red Stemmed Dogwood Bare Root plant arrives, place it straight into a bucket of water for at least 2 hours. This will help dampen the roots in preparation for planting. Please then continue to water the plant regularly throughout its growth- this is very important for Dogwood, as it likes and thrives in a moist site.

It's very important to note that you must not prune your Dogwood during its first year of growth as this can stunt healthy development. After this, however, feel free to cut the hedge down to a woody base (within 4" of the ground) before they begin to bud. You will need to do this every year, along with feeding and watering the plant after each session.
