Large flowering Purple Crocus produces flowers in the early Spring and is well-known to naturalise well amongst grass. It is quite a hardy specimen, as it can tolerate winter weather well, and will simply die back on its own after flowering.

The flowers can reach an ultimate height and spread of 7cm x 5cm.

It is best to plant Purple Crocus bulbs in poor-moderately fertile soil, that is gritty and well-drained. Place in full sun for best results.
