Ilex Aquifolium̴Ì?is well-known for its classically prickly, glossy, deep-green leaves, and bright red berries that make an attractive trait to the bush during Winter.
About Bare Root English Holly Hedging
The dense and prickly leaves on English Holly make it ideal as a privacy screen, security barrier, or windbreak, as well as being successfully pollution resistant. With its welcomed shades of colour, English Holly can provide you with year-round colour and Winter coverage during the colder months- some small white flowers even appear in the Spring.̴Ì?
Due to being evergreen, English Holly is loved by native birds for shelter during Winter, and the berries are a perfect source of food.̴Ì?
Please note, bare root plants̴Ì?will need to be planted as soon as possible after being delivered- do not put it off, as if the roots dry out, the plant will not survive.̴Ì?

Pruning & Care
When you receive your English Holly Bare Root plant, place it straight into a bucket of water for at least 2 hours. The roots must be wet before planting. You must also continually water the plant throughout its growth and development, as Holly particularly prefers a moist site.̴Ì?
In terms of pruning, English Holly needs minimal amounts. You should only need to remove dead/damaged/diseased/crossing shoots, at most- and the best time to do so is during the late Winter/early Spring, when the plant is dormant.̴Ì?
If your Holly gets too large or overgrown for your liking, it can tolerate a bit of annual/extreme pruning- though this must be done during the Winter, also.̴Ì?
