Pot Grown Daisy Bush
(Olearia x haastii)

Olearia x haastii is a̴Ì?lovely, flowering, hardy evergreen species that's̴Ì?ideal for informal hedging.

We've dedicated time and care into growing your pot grown plant, so it arrives looking stunningly new and healthy.

The Olearia x haastii bush lavishly flowers in July and August, smothering itself in small white, gently fragranced flowers that have pretty, yellow centres- hence the name ‰ۡÌÝÌáDaisy.‰ۡó» It has a grey-green coloured foliage that can sometimes look almost blue-like, which gives this hedge a very distinctive, yet attractive look.

It may seem like a delicate plant, but the Daisy Bush is surprisingly a tough and hardy shrub with an average growth rate of 30cm per annum, meaning it can make a fantastic, stunning low border.

The Olearia x haastii is one of the few flowering hedging species that can tolerate coastal situations, as well as very wind sides. All it really needs is a sunny position, and to be placed in a fertile soil- as well as an annual feed and mulch once it has been pruned (to get the very best out of your Daisy Bush).

  • Growth height: Average (20-40cm per year)
  • Ideal height: 1.2m-2.5m Medium
  • Soil Type: Normal
  • Exposure:̴Ì?Coastal, Exposed, Inland, Sheltered
  • Aspect: Sun
  • Evergreen foliage? Yes

As it is pot grown, you can easily leave the plant in its pot for a few days/weeks before planting. Just ensure you keep the plant well-watered, and it gets enough sun. Don't leave it for too long, however, as you don't want the roots to become root bound.

You should deadhead your Daisy Bush after the flowers begin to fade- do so using pruning shears. Prune the bush to shape in the middle/end of Spring.̴Ì?
