Viburnum lantana plants are ideal for ornamental purposes, or informal hedging. However, either way, the plant will boast lovely, white flowers that are presented as dome-like clusters. These will soon turn into bright red berries that turn black when ripe. The leaves will turn into a lovely red colour during Autumn, too, adding some stunning warm shades to your garden.

Wildlife love this plant too, as the branches are seen as an ideal shelter for birds, and butterflies love the flowers!

As soon as you receive your Viburnum lantana bare root plant, place it straight into a bucket of water for at least 2 hours. The roots must be wet before planted. Water the plant regularly throughout its growth, too, as this will encourage a solid, stable development- ensure you have a well-draining soil to avoid any waterlogging problems.̴Ì?

In terms of maintenance, Wayfaring Tree plants need very little, if any. However, you can prune during Spring after the flowering period- though the stems will not produce berries later if you do.̴Ì?

If limited to garden space, cut around one-third of the old stems to maintain healthy and fresh growth. Any new growth will produce flowers/berries the following year. If done ever year, you will be promised lovely flowers and berries annually!̴Ì?
