Though it is a deciduous plant, Field Rose foliage often persists well into the Winter, making it quite the durable, hardy species. We highly recommend planting with other species, too, as this will give you the ultimate, attractive hedgerow.

As soon as you receive your bare root plant, place it into a bucket of water for at least w2 hours. The roots must be wet when planted.

If needed, you should only prune in Winter, following these steps:

• Cut stems down on a slope, no more than 5mm above a bud.
• cut to the appropriate height if you do not see any visible dormant buds.
• Ensure your cuts are clean- keep secateurs sharp. You may need to use a pruning saw/pair of loppers for larger, thicker stems.
• Cut away any diseased/dead/congested stems.
• For mature plants, cut away any old wood that's failing to produce new stems.
