This 60/90cm bare root Green Privet plant has an average growth rate and can exceed 2.5m tall when planted in good conditions.
As soon as you receive your Privet Bare Roots, you will need to place them into a bucket of fresh water for at least 2 hours. The roots must be wet before planting. Ensure you drench the planting hole before and after planting too- but do not let it become waterlogged (place in a well-draining soil).
In terms of pruning, hedge trimming can be done twice a year- firstly in June, then again in late September. Only prune at these times as you do not want to remove any new growing shoots.
