This 20/40cm potted Pieris Forest Flame plant is slow-growing but will reach up to 4m high when planted in good conditions.

Pieris ‰ۡÌÝÌáForest Flame‰ۡó» should be planted in full sun or partial shade, and in loam, or sand-based soils, that is moist and well-draining. We also recommend having this shrub South, West, or East facing.

As it is pot grown, you can easily leave the plant in its pot for a few days/weeks before planting it. Just ensure you keep the plant well-watered, and it gets enough sun. Don't leave it for too long, however, as you don't want the roots becoming root bound.

Prune any dead, diseased, or damaged shoots, then thin out the crowed shoots, as well as any that are badly positioned. Aim to remove about one-third of the old wood in total, when doing this. After pruning, we do recommend adding a bit of mulch and feed, to boost growth and protect the plant‰ۡó»s roots.
