Well-known for its wonderfully bright and fragrant flowers, which are loved by butterflies, the Buddleja davidii ‰ۡÌÝÌáBlack Knight‰ۡó» is the perfect addition to any sunny-placed border. If you prune well in Spring, you will be gifted with densely packed spikes of tiny, purple flowers.

Please note, we do recommend deadheading your Butterfly Bush, as to encourage increased flower production.

It will reach an ultimate height and spread of 3m x 5m.

This 20/40cm potted Butterfly Black Knight plant is fast-growing and can reach up to 3m tall when planted in good conditions.

Please place your Butterfly Bush ‰ۡÌÝÌáBlack Knight‰ۡó» in a sunny or partially shaded position, and in chalk, clay, loam, or sand-based soil- it must be moist and well-drained. It can tolerate both sheltered and exposed sites.

As it is pot grown, you can easily leave the plant in its pot for a few days/weeks before planting it. Just ensure you keep the plant well-watered, and it gets enough sun. Don't leave it for too long, however, as you don't want the roots becoming root bound.

To prune your shrub, cut back the previous year‰ۡó»s flowering stems down to about one or two buds. You must also remove any weak, dead, or thin growth. This should all be done in the middle of Spring. After pruning, we recommend applying some mulch and feed to the base of the plant.
