Tufted Hair Grass, also commonly referred to as ‰ۡÌÝÌáDeschampsia Cespitosa,‰ۡó» is an evergreen species which forms wispy, linear leaves that are complimented with flowering panicles during the Summer. Find out more

Deschampsia ‰ۡÌÝÌáCespitosa,‰ۡó» forms direct, dark-green, thin leaves that can grow to 0.6m high. These leaves are placed on arching stems that produce feathery, silver-purple coloured flower panicles.

The grass can reach an ultimate height and spread of 1m-1.5m x 0.5m-1m, within 2-5 years.

The plant can tolerate sun and partial shade, as well as exposed or sheltered positions. We do recommend planting in clay, loam, or sand- based soils, and it should be moist, but well-drained.
