Being a compact, dense, evergreen shrub, Rhododendron 'Sneezy' is a rather popular plant, as its bright red buds pop open intense, pink flowers with red edges during late Spring/early Summer- hence being awarded the Garden Merit by RHS!
It's bright, evergreen leaves create a beautiful contrast against the lovely flowers, adding a stunning aspect to your garden! It's the perfect plant for borders, beds, containers, banks, and sloped, with its brilliant dwarf nature- especially with it being so low maintenance.
Rhododendron 'Sneezy' can reach an ultimate height between 0.8-1m within 10 years.
We recommend planting 'Sneezy' in well-draining, but moist, acidic soil, and in full sun or light shade.
- Growth rate: Average (20-40cm per year)
- Ideal height: 0.8-1m Small
- Soil type: Loam, sand, acidic̴Ì?
- Exposure: Sheltered
- Aspect: Full sun, semi-shade
- Evergreen foliage? Yes
You should not need to prune your Rhododendron 'Sneezy' at all- you will only need to remove the spent flowers, and cut away any dead/diseased branches, where necessary. This must be done in late Spring when the flowering has finished.
Once you've finished pruning, place a bit of Rhododendron/Azalea fertiliser down to encourage the best and most healthy, new shoots.
