Azalea 'Homebush'
(30/40cm Pot Grown)

Azalea 'Homebush' is a deciduous shrub, but will still showcase gorgeous, delicate, pink blooms during Spring. Find out more

Homebush's deep pink flowers come as immense, showy clusters of 18-20 blooms per bunch, lasting for the latter half of Spring. It's an unusual, but gorgeous Azalea, as its upright growth habit makes it perfect for adding a lovely pop of colour into your Spring Garden- plus it's low maintenance!

'Homebush' can reach an ultimate height between 1.2m-1.8m within 10 years.

Azalea 'Homebush' is a lot less picky about its soil condition, but will always prefer a well-draining, acidic soil.

  • Growth rate: Average (20-40cm per year)
  • Ideal height: 1.2m-1.8m Medium
  • Soil type: Any soil
  • Exposure: Sheltered
  • Aspect: Full sun, semi-shade
  • Evergreen foliage? No

You can clip your Azalea 'Homebush' to shape in early June, but if doing so, do not apply any fertiliser afterwards (as we do recommend with normal pruning), as this will boost growth and therefore spoil the desired shape you're trying to achieve.

General pruning, like trimming away dead/diseased/damaged branches, and removing spent flowers, should be done immediately after flowering has finished- following with some mulch and feed.
