About Rhododendron 'Lord Roberts'

Rhododendron 'Lord Roberts' produces deep red, tubular shaped blooms with dark red centres, during May-June, creating a stunning contrast against the intense, evergreen leaves. Lord Roberts has a rather upright growing nature, making it highly useful for privacy screening, or even just as a single specimen!

It's considered to be one of the hardiest and toughest rhododendrons, so is ideal for many different garden conditions!

Lord Roberts does have quite a slow growing rate, however, reaching an ultimate height of 1.5m within 10 years.

Pruning & Care

You should not need to prune your Rhododendron 'Lord Roberts' at all- you will only need to remove the spent flowers, and cut away any dead/diseased branches, where necessary. This must be done in late Spring when the flowering has finished.

Once you've finished pruning, place a bit of Rhododendron or Azalea fertiliser down, to encourage the best and most healthy, new shoots.
