The Viburnum tinus ‰ۡÌÝÌáEve Price,‰ۡó» can grow about 45cm per annum when it is young, but as it matures, the plant‰ۡó»s growth will begin to slow down- it will still reach a height of approximately 4m tall. It can create a lovely display in your garden and can be mixed with other evergreen hedge plants which flower at different times- this will provide you with visual interest through all the seasons.
This 40/50cm potted Laurustinus 'Eve Price' plant is fast-growing but will grow above 2.5m high in good conditions.
The Viburnum tinus is a plant that is somewhat easy to grow and can grow in both partial and full shade. Natural sunlight is generally best to enable it to flower nicely. We do recommend placing in clay or moist soils, but it can also grow well in any but alkaline/dry soils. This hardy shrub will also tolerate windy, coastal, and exposed sites.
- Growth height: Fast (40-60cm per year)
- Ideal height: 2.5m+ Tall
- Soil Type: Normal, Wet
- Exposure: Coastal, Exposed
- Aspect: Semi-shade, Full shade
- Evergreen foliage? Yes
As it is pot grown, you can easily leave the plant in its pot for a few days/weeks before planting it. Just ensure you keep the plant well-watered, and it gets enough sun. Don't leave the it for too long, however, as you don't want the roots becoming root bound.
It will need to be trimmed after flowering in the late Spring, just by taking back the long shoots to slightly above the nodes, as well as needing to remove any diseased/dead wood to retain its shape and maintain a lovely, healthy plant.Berries
